Getting back into the swing of things can be quite challenging. I typically work out 4 times a week, but considering I have fallen off the wagon back in September I may work out twice a week. My workouts are cycling and yoga, later this week I plan to hit the gym again to start lifting to build muscle.
As a quick jump start I stopped by Pressed Juicery in Carlsbad for a quick pick me up. I’ve cleansed before and I swore I would never cleanse for more than a day. With that being understood, I opted for their limited time special of 4 juices for $20. I believe it’s just enough to nourish me with tons of nutrients I desperately need to kick start my week.
My choices
Orange, Turmeric, Fuji Apple, Lemon
Lemon, Lavender, Honey, Activated Charcoal
Vanilla Almond – Almonds, Dates, Vanilla Bean, Sea Salt.
Citrus 2 – Pineapple, Apple, Lemon, Mint
Exploring Southern California on a budget can be a huge undertaking. Living in So Cal you will find it easy to make your health a priority and of course that comes at a cost. Typically a juice cleanse may cost $50 a day and most cleanses suggest you commit to 3 days and $129 in order to starve yourself to a healthier you. If you’re budgeting but want to take on a cleanse I suggest committing to 1 day, that way you get the nutrients you need, you don’t completely starve yourself and you get a chance to experience going through a partial cleanse.
What are your experiences with a juice cleanse? Did you find it helpful? Please feel free to share your experiences.
